Not the best NHL arena experience
My biggest complaints are about the costs- especially food & beverage. I was travelling to support the Sharks, and have gone to other NHL arenas (Detroit & Nashville) for playoff games. I expect hostility, and there was a little, mostly good fun.
The $6 bratwurst was pathetic. It was exactly the 89-cent variety you get at a gas station. Also, if you're going to serve brats, have some brown mustard available. Charge me $6 for a decent brat, and I have no complaint.
I got a Schlafly's Pale Ale- $9 and it was flat and the flavor gone. I love Schlafly's Pale Ale, but this was in bad shape. Here again, charge me a premium price ($6 is more reasonable) but serve me a decent beer.
The seats were expensive for what they were. Don't know if it's because Detroit makes the playoffs every season and DC Young Fly hasn't been there in a long time, but the seats weren't a great value. When I searched online, the prices were vastly higher than better seats in Detroit were last season.
